  • According to a National Longitudinal Transition Study:

    • 94% of high school students with learning differences received accommodations & support services arranged on their behalf.

    • After transitioning into college, only 17% of these students received accommodations and support services.

    • Many students struggle to access support services when on their college campuses and others lack the knowledge and self-advocacy skills needed to seek help and support.

  • We at ThrivEnvironment believe that college planning and student development are correlated and are needed to foster the best opportunities for student growth, academic success and well-being.

With this in mind, we have developed an innovative three-part integrated wellness and student development approach to mentor a small cohort of college-bound students and their families through the college readiness, search, planning and application process throughout their time in high school, and through their first semester of college, to ensure a successful transition.

Our unique integrated wellness and student development approach seeks to provide 1:1 guidance, balance, training and support to help your student THRIVE in and beyond college.

Our Holistic & Highly Customized Thrive Programs

Preparation Through Exposure and Practice

The college application process and identifying the best fit can be a daunting process for students and their families and without the right guidance, preparing your high schooler for college can feel overwhelming, frustrating and a little out of reach. When students learn more about the process, and themselves, they feel more confident about making decisions.

Here at ThrivEnvironment we work from a Person-Centered Planning framework and are committed to helping students and their families navigate the college admissions and transition process from application to acceptance and through the first semester of college. Each of our packages creates a foundation AND a pathway for students to develop strategies needed to succeed in college and beyond.

  • No two students are alike. The more students understand their individual strengths, challenges, stress behaviors, interests, and goals, the more likely they can identify the best opportunities for themselves.

Our intake process entails an in depth self-assessment through our validated Thrive Knowledge of Self Inventory tool, and review of your needs.

    Outcomes:

    • Insight into Self-awareness, Personal Strengths, Challenges, Needs + Interests

    • Insight into Learning Styles + How to Increase Academic Success

    • Insight into Support Needed in College

    • 30-minute, One-one Zoom Meeting for Parents and Students to Review Inventory Feedback + What it Means and Discuss Next Steps
